I feel I hit a homerun. My daughter loves the book, it came in time for Christmas and the price was reasonable. Read the reviews and let your preferences guide you). So for her birthday, we gave her tickets for her and a friend. However, it reveals a lot of good backstage info, history and insight. The price at that time was the best out there (some were asking 3 times as much plus shipping).
And now you can get it even cheaper. At the play, all the programs were sold out and she was disappointed. (The book is not all encompassing and does contain a lot about earlier productions of the play with the performers of that time over the current performers. The book has a quality, distressed look binding for effect.I also checked out some other sites, then came back to Amazon and bought it for a Christmas present. So, I started researching Amazon to see what was out there. My daughter is a big fan of the play.
I found this book and read the reviews. The purchase/delivery was prompt and effortless.
I bought it over a year ago and I still love looking thru it. It was really interesting how they came up with the idea for the musical and they tell everything in this book. I loved this book. They sell this book at the gift shop at the musical and you'll pay $50 for it. If you are really into the musical, Wicked, you will enjoy this book.
this book also gives people who may not have read the book this musical is based on a taste so that they might delve into the series, which currently has three books to it. at first, i had hoped this had the full script, but understand why it doesn't. i certainly am happy with the content, and glad that they made this book for the public.

This book has all the photos of characters with stories and credits and also the script is included. I am very happy with this book. I saw the Wicked production in NY and loved the play. You also get the story.
